November 8, 2016 Meeting
Topic: Low Cost Email & Data Compliance with Recommendations during a M&A Event
Speaker: Frederic Bourget, CTO of Netmail .
Abstract: Organizations in the financial, healthcare and energy sectors face some of their greatest challenges during a merger, acquisition or data migration. One of these challenges is the complex task of consolidating disparate data silos (including Active Directory, Email, Archives, and Files) while at the same time maintaining “business as usual” and staying compliant. This consolidation to remove duplicate solutions is driven by a cost rationalization, but risks to the need to be mitigated on the user front and the operational front.
The acquiring organization also faces a large risk with unknown data that is being pulled into it’s infrastructure. There is little guarantee that the data is compliant and does not hold any risk. However, there are ways to mitigate these risks.
In this session, we’ll explain the methodology behind a data consolidation process. Netmail will also demo in the process of sanitizing the data for PCI or HIPAA compliance. You will learn all the tips and tricks you need to help partners and customers prepare and consolidate data, reduce migration time and costs, and get back to business as usual.
